Balboa & Shag Workshop Weekend im Kulturwerk

In November 2020 we will set up a combined Balboa and Shag workshop for you. We will bring international teachers to Stuttgart to teach you their latest tricks! While the workshops will take place in the Kulturwerk, the big Party Saturday night will happen at the Kleiner Kursaal

Teacher Anni & Gašper (Balboa)

Anni Skoglund (Sweden) and Gašper Hrovat (Slovenia) is an inspiring dance couple. Their style is playful, passionate and smooth. They share the love for the dance as their form of communication through rhythm, melody and harmony. To them it is the awareness of one another that make the couple dance so magic.
From a young age both of them danced several styles before getting into authentic jazz dances. Anni's background lays in Swedish folk-dance, waltz and fox-trot, meanwhile Gašper's in popular 90's Street dances. Eventually swing dance came across and it became another playground. It must have been love at first dance at Herräng Dance Camp 2008. This is how they ended up, living and working together in Gothenburg (Sweden).
Now - performing, teaching and lecturing about swing dances, at home and abroad, has seen them as evolve into a couple that has won competitions with their vibrant style and superfast feet. But above all, social dance is their thing.

Teacher Michał & Kasia (Shag)

Michał Oblaciński and Kasia Dybowska fell in love with swing dancing in 2005, successfully launching the Lindy Hop scene in Warsaw in 2009. From the very beginning they spent most of their spare time travelling around the world first learning and later also teaching the happiest of all dances both locally and internationally.

Since they came across Collegiate Shag in 2014 they are spreading their love for it all around Poland and Europe supporting its global revival everywhere they go. Alongside their students and with great support of Arnas and Egle from Vilnius - they started the Collegiate Shag fever in Poland.
On a day-to-day basis Michał and Kasia teach weekly Lindy Hop and Collegiate Shag classes and run the Warsaw Shag Team dance troupe in their SWINGOUT.PL Swing Dance Studio.
They are initiators and some of the main organizers of one of the biggest Collegiate Shag festivals in Europe - the Warsaw Collegiate Shag Festival as well as numerous other events.
In swing dancing they are looking for a perfect balance of a general dance technique, natural and functional movement, leading and following skills but also some childish craziness, musicality, fun and raw energy. Check out a video of them here
