20 years of SwingKultur Stuttgart – can you believe it? In 2005 our three founding members came back from Herräng absolutely hooked and eager to make Stuttgart swing out. 20 years later we still do it – as energetic and jazzy as ever … reason enough for us to celebrate the greatest birthday party!

Join us for our 20th Anniversary SwingKultur Festival – a long weekend full of dance, music and learning in appreciation of African-American jazz culture. We will feature Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa, Solo Jazz, and cultural classes with a particular focus on the influence of African Culture on Swing Jazz. We’re absolutely thrilled to have a hot-as-hell line up in this anniversary edition of our festival: Sylvain Guiheneuc and Marion Quesne, Arnas Razgūnas and Eglė Nemickaitė, Mette Herlitz and Andreas Olsson the Mozambique Smile Trio and Minn Vo! Besides the classes, there will be three parties with absolutely amazing live bands from near and far: Vojtech Havelka and his Melody Makers, Laney and the Snappy Rhythm Gang, Linda Kyei Swing Combo and The Killin’ Jivers. And last but not least we are planning some extra activities.
